In a significant move to foster economic development, sustainable livelihoods, and self-reliance among rural women, ‘Kaushal Kendra’ operated by Astitva Grameen Hastshilp was inaugurated in Bangoli village, Raipur district. The center aims to equip women artisans with various vocational skills, enhancing their employability and entrepreneurial capabilities.
The center will offer training in a range of disciplines, including tailoring, weaving, and handicrafts. These skills are intended to open up new income-generating opportunities for women, enabling them to contribute financially to their families and communities. It is noteworthy that rural women associated with Astitva Grameen Hastshilp, our social enterprise unit, have already been exporting their handicraft items outside India.

Natasha Verma, manager of Kaushal Kendra in Bangoli village, expressed her enthusiasm, "This initiative is a game-changer for us. It provides us with the tools and resources to become self-sufficient."

We work closely with local village councils and community leaders to drive meaningful socio-economic transformation within villages.
