Education lies at the heart of our mission because it can break the cycle of poverty and drive socio-economic development. By promoting education and strengthening learning environments, we help rural communities overcome barriers and build brighter futures.
One of the challenges faced by children in rural areas is the paucity of fictional books to read. It is very expensive for the schools to procure fiction and non-fiction books for a library. Astitva Foundation, Chhattisgarh has donated thousands of books for children to read. We have instituted libraries, kicked off a ‘Read and Write’ campaign, and started reading clubs. The more children read, the better they write. We also provide training to the teachers on appropriately organizing and circulating the collections of books, thereby ensuring that every child receives a quality education. We hope to see these students be creative and author stories and become literati someday.
If you like to donate books, please contact us. Your support will ensure a brighter future for children in rural Chhattisgarh.
