'Parivartan’ strives to bring a change in the lives of the girls by shining a positive influence and offering opportunities needed to build personal and professional development. At Astitva, we are committed to helping young girls and women find their true selves and potential, to lead a life more fulfilling and rewarding.
Our International Mentoring Program is a deeply transformative experience for rural women and girls, connecting participants to global leaders who expand their horizons, strengthen their voice, and help them chart career pathways. Each year, 30 rural women from Chhattisgarh are selected. The program opens doors to new perspectives, higher aspirations, opportunities to financial independence, and a renewed commitment to personal growth.
The 2025 edition marked the program’s eighth year, delivering profound transformations. Participants gained clarity, sharpened their goals, and stepped into new possibilities with renewed confidence and conviction.

Meet the Voices of Change who have transformed their journeys into stories of purpose. Through a series of sessions, these speakers will:

Astitva Foundation, Chhattisgarh presents the 2025 International Mentoring Cohort, comprising 30 rural women from 20 villages in Chhattisgarh. This year’s theme, ‘Udgam se Udaan’ i.e Soaring Beyond Boundaries, reflects the spirit of rising from one’s origin to embrace limitless possibilities.

Our moderators will help anchor each mentee’s journey with care and clarity. They will support digital learning, host speaker sessions, and facilitate discussions. As we begin this powerful mentoring journey, we celebrate these rural women who are determined to make this initiative a great learning experience for all.

‘You Are The Light’ is the theme of our mentoring program this year, symbolizing the flame of hope, self-motivation, and selfless service, aligning with the spirit of C20, an official engagement group of the G20 Summit hosted by India.

Astitva Foundation, Chhattisgarh unveils the mentees of our 2023 International Mentoring Program for Rural Girls, which aims to scaffold individual development and help rural girls envision what they want to become in life.

‘BRING THEM FORWARD’ is the theme of our 2022 International Mentoring Program for Girls in Chhattisgarh. Rural women lack opportunities and resources to grow, and their full potential is underutilized, leading to hindered growth. To bring a 'Parivartan’, it is vital to empower them by educating them to overcome the obstacles in their development.

Introducing the Speakers of our 2022 International Mentoring Program, aimed at promoting girl students from rural areas of Chhattisgarh by stimulating their personal and professional development. Participants will learn life lessons from inspiring women leaders who have scaled their professional and societal boundaries and propelled their careers with hard work, tenacity, and unrelenting commitment to making a difference.

With a clearly defined agenda, event structure, and a commitment to bring a change with mentoring rural girls, we are determined to make this initiative a great learning experience for all.

These incredible women are set to embark on a transformative journey of growth, learning, and empowerment. One of the key highlights of this program is its emphasis on experiential learning methods with hands-on activities, enabling them to gain valuable insights, practical skills, and the confidence to become self-reliant.

We were proud to share that our 2021 International Mentoring Program successfully took off with a strong lineup of 10 mentors from across the world, and 30 mentees from rural Chhattisgarh. Together, they embarked on a journey to gain knowledge, clarify their aspirations, and shape their career goals.

Astitva Foundation, Chhattisgarh conducted an event towards developing an integrated and inclusive ecosystem for women’s entrepreneurship and self-employment in rural communities by facilitating access to resources and opportunities.

Ms. Anupam M. Diwan, the founder and president of Astitva Foundation, Chhattisgarh delivered a speech at the Government Science College, Raipur. The event focused on breaking barriers and promoting women's empowerment, resonating with students eager to make a positive impact in their communities.
Mrs. Diwan painted a vivid picture of the challenges that persist and the transformative potential for women. She shared insights into the importance of dismantling gender stereotypes, emphasised the role of education as a stimulus for change and encouraged girls to be economically empowered and have an identity in life. Her groundbreaking work on female literacy and women's empowerment in rural Chhattisgarh has fostered financial independence, skills development, and self-reliance, nurturing a generation of confident, empowered women who are becoming the champions of change in their communities.

Ms. Anupam M. Diwan, Founder of Astitva Foundation Chhattisgarh, returned to her alma mater, Holy Cross Higher Secondary School, Pension Bada, Raipur, as Chief Guest. The event was filled with pride and nostalgia, marked by a warm welcome, cultural performances, and heartfelt celebrations.
In her address, she shared how the school shaped her foundation, inspired her aspirations, and guided her journey toward establishing Astitva Foundation Chhattisgarh. She encouraged students to pursue their passions, stay resilient, and use education to create positive change.
Top students received gold medals and scholarships, while the newly elected school council participated in an oath-taking and badge-pinning ceremony. Mrs. Diwan was honored by the school Principal for her outstanding contributions, leaving the audience inspired by her remarkable journey and dedication to transforming lives.

Astitva Foundation, Chhattisgarh in collaboration with Chhattisgarh State Renewable Energy Development Agency (CREDA) held an awareness program on women empowerment and Net Zero targets at Government High School, Nardha village in Chhattisgarh.
The discussion highlighted challenges encountered by rural women and emphasised the importance of dismantling the barriers to create an environment where women can thrive and foster their economic empowerment. Students were encouraged to challenge stereotypes, stay focused on goals, and actively contribute to creating a more inclusive and equitable society.
The experts delved into the concept of mitigating climate change, reducing the carbon footprint, achieving net zero targets, and environmental sustainability.

Maharashtra Mandal, Raipur, organized a vibrant celebration marking Makar Sankranti, Basant Panchami, and Republic Day, bringing together tradition, culture, and patriotism.

In her address, Ms. Diwan emphasized the importance of women’s empowerment, education, and economic independence in driving social change. The celebration concluded on an inspiring note, blending tradition with a shared vision of progress and inclusion.
Even in villages far from global platforms, Astitva Foundation Chhattisgarh brings International Women’s Day to life, helping women recognize the day in ways that resonate with their everyday lives. These initiatives connect grassroots to a larger movement, showing that women in remote areas can also engage, learn, and grow.
Astitva Foundation Chhattisgarh held a targeted intervention in Dhansuli village, Raipur district, aimed at females who had discontinued their education due to various challenges such as financial constraints, societal norms, or family responsibilities.
Astitva Foundation, Chhattisgarh celebrated International Day of the Girl Child in Karhul village with a special drawing competition, aimed at empowering young minds and highlighting gender equality. The event was filled with enthusiasm as both girls and boys participated in the competition, and each group was given a unique and meaningful topic to express their creativity.

We celebrated the boundless potential, resilience, and strength of girls in rural areas. We also marked the closure of our 2023 international mentoring program, and it was a privilege to witness the growth of the rural girls who were part of this initiative. The girls who successfully completed the program received a dictionary and a certificate of graduation on the occasion.

Underscoring the need for collective efforts to foster inclusivity and champion equality for women. An event was organized to address the barriers that women face in achieving economic empowerment and advocate for their active participation and inclusion in the economy. Providing equal opportunities for women and girls to build their capabilities is vital. Strengthening their capacity to learn, earn, and lead is crucial for their economic empowerment.

Embracing equity, inclusivity, and the safety of the digital world is our call to action to bridge the digital divide, so that marginalized groups and rural women can unlock the potential of technology.

Digital Transformation of rural India is key to achieving gender equality, sustainable development, and empowerment of women in education, skills development, and financial inclusion. Rural women celebrated International Women’s Day with traditional games in the spirit of the occasion.
We proudly celebrated the dedication and determination of our girls in Chhattisgarh, as they embrace education to ensure an empowered life. To further fuel this fire in them, we gifted the book by our truly loved former President Dr. Kalam to the girls, along with the various achievement awards.
